Children's Market

The Children’s Market is an event entirely dedicated to children, it includes:

• A Nearly New sale where parents can sell unwanted toys, clothes and equipment
• A wide variety of market stalls selling all kinds of child focused merchandise
• Craft stalls selling handmade clothes and toys
• A child friendly fun fair
• Petting Farm
• Food and Drinks
• Information stands promoting local children’s groups, clubs, schools and other relevant organisations

We typically have over 70 stalls attending the event selling a variety of goods from clothes, toys and books to unique personalised crafts and keepsakes. We have plenty of activities to keep the children entertained, such as bouncy castles, fairground rides, petting farm, clown and circus shows as well as delicious treats such as ice-creams, sweets and popcorn.

Children get the chance to meet a variety of animals. At our previous events we have had all sorts of different animals attending including owls, hawks, llamas, goats, greyhounds, calves, pet rat and rabbits. At our spring event we also offer children the opportunity to bottle feed lambs.

We have a craft area at all our events, with new activities on offer each time.

There will be plenty of refreshments available, from jacket potatoes, burgers and ice-cream to delicious Sunday lunches in The Old Deanery Farm Cafe.

Admission is free for children and £2.50 for adults. It is a fantastic value day out for all the family. We have both indoor and outdoor space making it a great day out whatever the weather.

If you would like to attend the event, Penkridge Market is situated in the centre of Penkridge, and is signposted off the A449. It is easily accessible from Junction 12 of the M6 and is only 6 miles from Stafford; 7 miles from Cannock and 10 miles from Wolverhampton (postcode ST19 5AS).

The market has a large, free car park and is easily accessed from Junctions 12 and 13 of the M6.
